Last Update: March 11, 2020

Collagen naturally declines in the body with age, but there are easy ways to add it to your diet. Take this dessert, for example, made from tart lemons and soothing lavender, plus a scoop of beneficial collagen. You won’t even taste it—and you’ll boost your beauty routine while you enjoy a sweet treat!

Collagen Lavender and Lemon Sorbet

Yield: 4 servings
Active Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 6 hours and 45 minutes

Ingredients

½ cup Swerve granular sugar replacement
4 cups water
1 tablespoon dried lavender
Zest and juice of 2 lemons
4 teaspoons Ancient Nutrition Multi Collagen Protein, Sleep + Beauty

Instructions

Add sugar replacement and water to a medium saucepan and bring to a simmer. When sugar has dissolved, add dried lavender, lemon zest and juice, and collagen; simmer 10 minutes. Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate 2 hours. Strain the custard and transfer to an ice cream machine; churn until the consistency is like soft serve. Serve immediately. Or, for a firmer sorbet, freeze for an additional 4 hours.
